GUILIN ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE CO., LTD (referred to as GLESI), formerly known as the Electrical Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, was established in Beijing in 1954 and relocated to Guilin in 1970.
